Welcome! I’m so glad you are here

I’m Kimberly

Your End Of Life Doula

I became interested in serving the end of life community several years ago when I decided to volunteer with Hospice.

Helping others create meaningful spaces in life and a beautiful transitional journey when the time comes is why I'm here. I can focus on being a client advocate and their unique needs with no outside interference.

Otis (My Therapy Dog) is tested and insured through the Alliance Of Therapy Dogs. I am certified through IAP College, Death Doula.

There were SO many times I said the words "I wish I knew_____."

Grief shared is grief lessened.

My interest in working with the elderly came to a head when my own father had a stroke.  This was a life altering event and the months following his medical event was nothing short of hell.  There were SO many times I said the words "I wish I knew_____" but I didn't.  It had been a long time since my last death exposure as I pretty much tried to avoid it.

The months between stroke and death were nothing short of chaos.  We were violently thrown into a world of hospitals, rehab interventions and surgeries.  The situation required 24 hour caregiving, none of which we were prepared for.  I often thought... if I only had an extra pair of hands...

His death finally came and the grief process kicked into turbo.   It was then that I began thinking about changing my volunteer efforts to expand beyond pet therapy.  Following the death of another close friend I learned about Death Doulas and eagerly began this new journey.

Moving on

Helping others create meaningful spaces in life and a beautiful transitional journey when the time comes is why I'm here. I can focus on being a client advocate and their unique needs with no outside interference.

No medical aspect is covered by my practice as there are innumerable providers ready to assist.  I offer the unique advantage of working with my clients in the exact way they need or are most valuable.
